A Seaford Seascape is a painting of the view from a cliff on the Sussex coast near Seaford on the Sussex coast. Two kittiwake seagulls fly across the sea and they are significant as this area is where they nest and are protected. The cliffs on the left are painted on thick textured paint to give the feeling of the chalk they are made of and in the background in the distance you can just see the Belle Tout lighthouse. The sea below the cliff is shallow and reflects the colours of the blue and turquoise sky and the coloured sand and rocks below it. Pink flowers cling to the top of the the cliffs and a lone figure walks the South Downs way to the left. The painting was inspired by the first walk I took out during the covid lockdown in March 2020. It was almost deserted and the South Downs path was empty. It was a beautiful clear sunny day and I was torn between loving having it all to myself and wishing others were also there to walk it. I wanted a record of this day and this is it. Available as wall art prints on canvas or on pearl or textured fine art paper.
